Overview
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The building is located along Via Roma, the main thoroughfare of the town of CERCEMAGGIORE, and is part of a residential area dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, just outside the historic center.
The entire building was completely renovated in 2008.
ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES
Volumetric Composition
The building consists of two joined buildings, harmoniously integrated into the surrounding urban fabric. The floor plan has a quadrilateral shape with staggered levels. The total floor area is 306 square meters.
Vertical Development
The building extends over three floors that follow the natural contours of the land, without starting from a single reference level:
- The elevation on Via Roma is entirely above ground
- The elevation on Via Dante Alighieri shows only one visible floor and one underground.
Structure
The load-bearing structure is made of rubble stone masonry. The floors consist of flat iron floors, while the roof is pitched.
Main elevation (Via Roma)
The facade on Via Roma is characterized by a wall facing composed of regular courses of local squared stone. The façade features:
- Two entrance portals of different sizes, with round stone arches
- Three balconies and a window on the upper floors, positioned in line with the portals
- Wooden window frames.
